Royal Secret: unconfirmed reports reveal that........."
Soon we can lay claims to royalty.
After all, Joanne Caroline Verstraete ( 1785 – 1850 ) had a son Bernardus ( b. Kampen ) whose father remains unknown. Bernardus was not Joanne’s later husband’s Livinus Leonardus Roegis’ son. Maybe the princes of the royal House of Orange were in town and one of them, William of Orange, took a fancy to this robust but beautiful commoner named Joanne Caroline, and bedded her for a few gold florins ( a novel in the making?). So, her son Bernardus, was really a Bernardus of Orange, but the royal affair has been kept secret for over 200 years.
In reality the Verstraete Roots go back as far as the late 1400's.
